Microsoft launch Internet Explorer 9 but not for Windows XP

Microsoft launched its innovative browser “Internet Explorer 9”. The company emphasized Internet Explorer 9 the speed and power, which come from its while making use of HTML 5 and hardware acceleration, which means the browser, can draw on processing power from the Personal Computer graphics processor as well as from the central processor.

But the new Internet Explorer 9 does not run on Windows XP - the operating system running on 67% of corporate desktops. Older operating systems, such as Windows XP, might not be able to cope with the demands of the fresh innovative Internet Explorer 9 browser and nor would the older Personal Computer running XP operating system.

Internet Explorer 9 has been “fully re-architected”. The hardware acceleration required for a modern browser means “you have to write for the operating system”. This makes it harder, the browser manufacturers who formulate browsers for a series of operating systems because writing for several operating systems involves making trade-offs. Microsoft released Internet Explorer 9 as a public sample in March last year and since then it has been downloaded more than Forty million times, making up around 2% of the Windows browser market prior to it had officially launched.
